Nakuu, much to the excitement of his already sizeable army of fans and newfangled sound that he has made his own is certain to gain interest from across the world.
The development of his unique style is the result of growing up in a talented musical family. His smooth vocals & style of rapping stem from a combination of his mother's extraordinary vocal abilities and the influence of the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s SOS Band wherein his father, Jason Bryant, founded, sung, and played the keyboards, and also, from some of today's superstars such as Lil Wayne and Chris Brown to name a few.
Nakuu first started singing in his local church at the age of seven. By the time he was 13 he became interested in writing, producing & editing his own songs. Shortly after, he began to teach himself how to play the keyboards, a decision which he has never looked back from.
Nakuu’s musical journey did not begin in Pennsylvania, however. Born in Atlanta, it was there that he recorded his first song. After realizing that rapping, singing, and making music was his desire he began to showcase his talent in various ways.
Opening act on several occasions for PNB Rock, Hip Hoops Music Challenge sponsored by QEB, LLC and the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, Make Music NY Festival, Sean "Money Man" Garrett's 2012 "Are You the Next Teen Superstar" Competition, and parties & festivals along the East Coast making sure that his name and music were being heard by as many people as possible.
He was quickly noted for his ability to rap & sing. As his confidence grew and his style developed, he soon saw a loyal following and his musical ambitions continued to grow. He found himself being asked to sing hooks & verses for other producers & artists. In fact his influences are vast, lending his voice around the globe.
The release of his 6th mix tape “Tuned Up” (2016) has been received with rave reviews locally and along the East Coast. It shows how he has grown as an artist, entertainer & producer from his previous work. Mix tapes “Mr. Flirt” (2015), “T.U.T” (2014), “Tricks Are For Kidz” (2013), “The New Guy” (2012) and “What’s Next” (2011).
